The Fire Prevention Association of North Texas (FPANT) is a local association of fire prevention and education professional with the following like goals:
- To identify, develop and promote the many fire prevention bureaus of North Texas,
- To promote a more uniform application of codes, local amendments and standards,
- To support the International Fire Code and other related codes and standards, and
- To further educate the membership by hosting seminars and workshops, using professionals in their appropriate fields of study.

FPANT would like to congratulate Fire Marshal John Gillette on his success in University Park. His diligent efforts resulted in a mandatory home fire sprinkler ordinance for all homes with no square footage limit. More to come on this in the near future.
